I am so excited to highlight this incredible and inspirational woman! She is the owner of Grace-Filled Ministries Please meet the beautiful Katie Lakvold!
Hi, Katie! We're so excited to give you the spotlight this week! Can you tell us about your business and what you offer?
We are dedicated to supporting post-pregnancy mothers in nurturing their spiritual, mental, and physical well-being. Motherhood is one of God’s greatest gifts, and we recognize the unique challenges that accompany this beautiful journey. Our goal is to empower mothers during the critical first year post-pregnancy by providing tools and guidance to document, track, and enhance their overall well-being. Above all, we seek to point women back to the Lord, our gracious sustainer, who provides strength, hope, and grace through every season of motherhood.
The Grace-Filled Postpartum Journal was born out of my own reflections on my three postpartum journeys. What started as an idea to write a book for new moms evolved as I realized that my own experience wasn’t as “rosy” as I had made it appear. I often told others I was “fine,” but looking back, I wondered if I truly was. I wished I had something to track my mental health, self-care, prayers, gratitude, and struggles throughout that first year. Maybe it would have helped me be more aware of my needs, and advocate for myself more clearly.
With that in mind, I created this journal to help new (and new-again), exhausted, and often isolated mothers track their well-being in a way that’s simple, prescriptive, and doesn’t require much time—because, let’s face it, who has the time or mental energy with a newborn? My hope and prayer is that it provides mothers with a tool for reflection—something they can share or keep for future reflection of this short yet blessed season of their lives.
That is so thoughtful and beautiful! Why do you think your clients choose to work with your company specifically?
I believe that women will choose to purchase the Grace-Filled Postpartum Journal because I offer a transparent, honest, and understanding space where their postpartum journey is met with encouragement and grace. I strive to be trustworthy and uplifting, creating a supportive and welcoming environment that truly sees and values new mothers. My goal is to be genuine, hope-filled, and overflowing with Jesus' love, reminding moms that they are never alone in this season and that the Lord is faithful in all things.

Aw, that is just beautiful! What inspired you to create the Grace-Filled Postpartum Journal, and why was supporting new mothers such an important calling for you?
I chose to begin Grace-Filled Ministries and to create the Grace-Filled Postpartum Journal because new mothers matter—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Their struggles, big or small, deserve to be acknowledged. My prayer is that through this journal, mothers can find the grace to extend to themselves the same grace that God so generously offers to all of His children, especially those caring for tiny ones. The Grace-Filled Postpartum Journal exists to remind mothers that they are seen, valued, and worthy of grace during one of the most demanding and sacred seasons of life.
Wow, that is so incredible! So, what were the first steps in creating your business?
The first steps in creating my business began with listening to what had to be the Holy Spirit. It started with deep self-reflection on my own postpartum experiences and many heartfelt conversations with other mothers who shared similar struggles and joys. From there, I jumped in with both feet, trusting the Lord to guide and bless this project, knowing He had placed this calling on my heart for a reason.

It sounds like this came from a deep and personal space for you, I love that! What is the lasting impact of Grace-Filled Ministries and what do you want your clients to leave with?
My prayer is that this journal blesses new mothers with clarity. I pray that it gives them hope and points them to the One constant and peace, that is The Lord, throughout the time of new motherhood. I pray that it is a helpful guide that they can use as a resource to ask for help from another mother, a friend, or a professional. I pray that it becomes a book filled with memories for them to reflect on the goodness of God years down the road. Above all, we seek to point women back to the Lord, our gracious sustainer, who provides strength, hope, and grace through every season of motherhood.

I love how heartfelt and personal that is! Okay, last question! If you could describe your brand in a quote, what quote would it be?
Grace for the journey, reflection for the heart, and faith for the road ahead—helping new moms navigate postpartum with love, strength, and self-compassion.
